Qatari Emir Tamim is said to have recently
agreed to go ahead with a project to set up a multirole special operations unit
to ward off possible terrorist threats, inside the country and on the maritime
or land border.
The unit will be put under the command
of Minister of State for Defence Affairs Khaled Al-Atiyyah.
