US-Iraq: Abrams, F-16 and UAV Predatornote
Iraq got a Pentagon’s approval for US arms sales, including 400 Stryker wheeled vehicles, 20 T-6A Texan training aircraft, 20 coastal patrol boats and 140 M1A1 Abrams tanks, while continuing talks with the Pentagon on an order for the F-16 aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. Despite that, there is an Iraqi dissatisfaction with the Abrams as well as with talks on the F-16 and UAVs.
