Pro-US Iraqi sources claim that a government official told Lukoil of Russia that its pre-war oil deal of West Al-Qurna will be subject to changes. According to these sources, Lukoil refused the drive at the beginning, but agreed later after receiving guarantees that there was no intent of widening the dispute with it.
