Qatari Emir Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani received US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on 13/1/19 at his palace in Doha.
Pompeo was on visit to Doha to head the US delegation to the 2nd round of the US-Qatar Strategic Dialogue and sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Qatar regarding the expansion and renovation of the Al-Udeid air base.
His visit took place as Qatar keeps finding itself in an ongoing blockade, set in motion by four blockading nations: Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain.
