Bahraini King Hamad issued a royal decree on Sunday (5/7/20) whereby he appointed his son Sheikh Nasser as Secretary-General of the Supreme Defense Council (SDC).
This adds to Sheikh Nasser’s other posts as as National Security Adviser and Commander of Bahrain Royal Guard (BRG).
This also makes him the second most powerful decision-maker in Bahrain in the security and military fields after his father King Hamad.

Within the ruling Al Khalifa family?
With regional leaders?
With the Pentagon?
