Egypt, South Korea, and K9 howitzer ToT updates

Summary

In February 2022, Egypt announced the signing of two contracts with South Korea for the transfer of

technology (ToT) and joint manufacturing of K9 self-propelled howitzer.

The Egyptian Ministry of Military Production (MoMP) is reported to start production of 70% of the components necessary for the assembly of a local K9 howitzer.

In this regard, training programs are said to be ongoing.
