Summary

The Commander of Qatar Emiri Navy (QEN) Major-General Abdullah Bin Hassan Al-Sulaiti is reported to

be expanding efforts to prepare several tenders for the defense of Qatari offshore liquefied natural gas (LNG) infrastructure such as surface platforms as well as Ras Laffan port.

He considers that long-endurance and multi-role autonomous naval systems are the most effective way of defending naval gas infrastructure.
