Egypt Discloses Arms Deals, Unveils Domestic Capabilities at EDEX 2021

Fully supported by the Egyptian Armed Forces, EDEX 2021 served as a platform for Cairo to display its latest breakthroughs in homegrown military technologies. Egypt’s first locally produced drones took center stage, among other projects such as surface vessels and air surveillance systems. Cairo also announced forthcoming arms deals and ongoing negotiations.
