UAE: Efforts to separate F-35 deal from Huawei issuenote

Talks are said to be ongoing behind closed doors between Emirati and US officials concerned with the F-35 deal.

In this regard, there is talk that Emir officials are seeking to separate the F-35 deal from other files over which the UAE and the United States are currently in disagreement, particularly the UAE’s partnership with Chinese telecommunication company Huawei Technologies Co.
