Syria: President Assad, meeting with President Putin

Syrian President Bashar Assad met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday (7/1/20) in Damascus.

President Putin was originally due to visit the Russian military forces stationed in Syria. However, his visit was advanced due to the rising tensions in the region.

President Putin is said to have promised President Assad to reinforce the capabilities of the Syrian Air Defense Force (SyADF) further.
