Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Engineer Abdullah Bin Amer Al-Swaha was appointed earlier this month (3/5/21) as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Space Commission (SSC), which was formed in 2018.
By this, Al-Swaha replaced Prince Sultan Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, who was appointed as special adviser to Saudi King Salman at the rank of minister and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the King Salman Foundation.
Following his appointment as SSC Chairman, Al-Swaha stated last week (11/5/21) that he will seek to implement a new and foundational phase based on solid and scientific foundations, and will start preparing for a strategy in cooperation with the Council of Economic and Development Affairs (CEDA).
