Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman is said to have recommended cutting current production as quickly as possible from the April level of 12.3 million barrel per day (bpd) to the 8.5 million bpd figure intended for May and June.

His recommendation is aimed at easing downward pressure on oil prices.
