Saudi Arabia announced yesterday (6/1/20) the establishment of the Council of Arab and African States on the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

Besides Saudi Arabia, the Council includes Yemen, Egypt, Jordan, Sudan, Djibouti, Eritrea and Somalia.

The Saudi Defense Ministry is said to have decided to provide the navies of these countries with a financial support. This includes the purchase of military vessels.

What is the value of the financial support?

These questions and more are answered in the following 281-word report.
