Sumitomo of Japan is expected to win several projects from Iraqi industrial and oil companies, including infrastructure projects in southern Iraq. Sumitomo is on good terms with state-owned South Oil Company (SOC). On the other hand, Sumitomo has promised the Iraqi Interior Ministry to provide it with security consultations and supply it later with important administrative supplies.
