Saudi Allegiance Council: Muqrin or Abdul’Ilah?

There is talk about consultations underway within the ruling Al Saud family over who to choose to head the Saudi Allegiance Council – a key post that is still vacant since the death of Prince Mishaal Bin Abdulaziz in May 3, 2017. Two senior members of the ruling family are said to be put forward for the post: former Crown Prince Muqrin Bin Abdulaziz and Adviser to the King Prince Abdul’Ilah Bin Abdulaziz.
Tactical Report has prepared a 486-word report to shed more light on the subject and tell whether the move has any relation with a transition of power in the kingdom from King Salman to his son Crown Prince Mohammad. [Fully reproduced in TR Weekly Issue No 24/40 – Oct.6, 2017]
